When we evaluate a cat tree the first thing we check is whether it wobbles, because a tree that tips trains a cat to avoid it. For this guide we compared five multi-level towers ranging from 44 to 54 inches against their published designs, materials, and aggregated owner feedback. We focused on base stability, sisal scratching coverage, perch and condo space, and how well each fits a typical indoor home. The right tree depends on your cats and your room. In our evaluation we found taller towers give confident climbers the height they crave, while sturdier wide bases matter most for multi-cat households and heavier cats. We recommend placing a tree near a window, anchoring tall units when possible, and choosing a model with enough sisal scratching surface to actually save your furniture.
