A multi-cat home needs vertical space, and a well-built cat tree gives every cat a perch to claim. We evaluated tall towers with multiple platforms, condos, and scratching posts to find the ones that hold up to several cats climbing at once. In our evaluation we focused on base stability, weight capacity, and the number of separate resting spots, because shared trees only work when each cat has somewhere to retreat. We leaned on manufacturer specs and aggregated owner feedback about wobble and sturdiness. What we like in this category is that the right tree reduces tension between cats by giving them their own territory. We recommend measuring your ceiling height and floor space before buying, and choosing a base wide enough to anchor a tall tower against tipping.
