A force dryer transforms bath day, especially for thick double coats that stay damp for hours with a towel alone. In our evaluation we found that strong, focused airflow does most of the work, blasting water out of the coat rather than relying on high heat that can stress a dog. We weighed airflow strength against heat settings, noise level, and how easy each unit is to handle through a full grooming session. What we like are dryers with adjustable speed and a controllable heater, since you can push water out fast while keeping the air close to comfortable. We also recommend introducing any high-velocity dryer slowly, and stopping if your dog shows real distress, since the noise and air pressure can overwhelm sensitive pets.
