Small tanks need light that fits a tight space without overwhelming the setup, and a good clip-on lamp does exactly that. We evaluated compact clip-on aquarium lights against manufacturer spectrum and wattage specs plus aggregated owner feedback, focusing on output, dimming control and how securely each clip grips a tank rim. The right light supports fish color and, in planted tanks, gentle growth, so we looked at full-spectrum options and adjustable settings. We considered tank-size ratings, clip reach for different rim thicknesses, and extras like timer or sunrise modes. We did not run plant-growth trials, but we weighed the design choices that make a clip light suitable for nano and desktop aquariums.
