These are jewelry pieces for dog owners, not items a dog wears, so we evaluated them as gifts and keepsakes. We compared matching friendship sets, owner-and-pet charm pairings and memorial lockets on metal type, clasp quality, design detail and how well they hold up to everyday wear. In our evaluation we relied on published materials information and aggregated buyer feedback about plating durability, magnet strength on matching pairs and how secure locket closures are. We did not perform our own metallurgy testing. For anyone with sensitive skin, we recommend checking the stated metal and choosing hypoallergenic or stainless options, and keeping any charm meant for a pet collar out of a dog’s mouth.
