We looked at Seresto the way a careful owner should, by matching the collar to the dog’s weight and confirming the label says dog. Seresto splits its line into a large-dog collar for dogs over 18 pounds and a small-dog collar for lighter dogs, and in our evaluation getting that weight split right is the single most important decision because the dose is calibrated to size. What we like is the long stated coverage window, which reduces the monthly dosing routine that owners forget. We assessed these against the manufacturer’s labeling and aggregated owner feedback rather than a home trial. Flea and tick products are species-specific and contain insecticidal actives, so use only the collar labeled for your dog’s weight, keep dog products away from cats, and consult your veterinarian before use, especially for puppies, pregnant dogs, or dogs on medication. For any reaction, contact your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center.
