Balance training builds core strength, body awareness, and confidence, and it is valuable for sport dogs, seniors, and dogs in rehab. We evaluated wobble boards and balance discs to find equipment that challenges dogs safely while standing up to repeated use. In our evaluation we found that grip surface, weight capacity, and the degree of wobble matter most. A board needs a non-slip top so paws feel secure, enough stability range to scale difficulty, and a build that supports your dog’s weight. We compared manufacturer specs against owner feedback on durability and traction. Balance work should always be introduced slowly and ideally guided by your veterinarian or a canine rehab professional, especially for recovering dogs.
